Buffalo is mainly known to be part of the African Big 5, the most difficult 5 animals to hunt by foot.

1. Buffalos can be very dangerous

Cape African Buffalos are reported to kill more hunters in Africa than any other animal.

Same as for elephants, they have an exceptional memory and they have been known to attack people that have harmed them even years after the event.⁣

 4. Buffalos utilise teamwork

If a buffalo herd comes under threat from a predator they form a circle around their young. All of the adults face outwards in an effort to hide the vulnerable.

The adults actually lower their heads and form a protective barrier with their horns.
