Charity Donation Commitment
Hoedspruit, South Africa – Wild In Africa, a company deeply rooted in supporting wildlife conservation through the sale of handcrafted jewellery, announces an update to its donation commitment policy. Beginning January 1st, 2025, the company will adjust its donation contribution from 50% of the purchase price to 50% of profits.
This decision comes as a necessary response to inflation, rising material costs, and increased costs of living, which have significantly impacted the business since its inception in 2017.
A Commitment to Sustainability
As a socially conscious business, Wild In Africa has always prioritised paying living wages to its staff and sourcing the finest materials to create its unique products. However, these rising costs have made it challenging to sustain the original donation model while ensuring the business remains viable.
“Since we began, I have personally invested my own resources to ensure the survival and growth of Wild In Africa,” said Shannon Wild. “This adjustment is essential to maintain our commitment to supporting conservation efforts while also keeping our team employed and our quality high.”
Continuing the Mission
Wild In Africa remains dedicated to making a meaningful impact on conservation and community welfare. While the percentage of donations will shift, the company’s mission and commitment to its charity partners remain steadfast.
Looking Ahead
Starting in 2025, Wild In Africa will continue to donate 50% of profits to its carefully chosen charity partners from sales of their corresponding bracelets. This change ensures the company can adapt to current economic realities while still contributing significantly to conservation.
“We deeply value the understanding and support of our customers and partners as we navigate these economic challenges,” said Shannon Wild. “Your continued support enables us to keep our mission alive and thriving.”
