Overview Nkombe Rhino was founded in 2010 by South African native and Rugby professional Joe Pietersen and his brother Willem. CELEBRATE WORLD OCEANS DAY WITH VATUVARA FOUNDATION FIJI
This week, we’re diving deep and turning a focus to the crucial conservation of marine life in celebration of World Oceans Day on the 8th of June. The Vatuvara Foundation combines science with the input of the local community in order to conserve the island’s reefs in a sustainable way.
CHARITY FOCUS: INVICTUS K9, HOW IT ALL BEGAN
Invictus K9’s specialized canine units track suspected poachers, search for and indicate the presence of illegal wildlife products, firearms and ammunition in Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Namibia, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Africa.

Wild In Africa supports the incredible work of the Zambian Carnivore Programme, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Zambia’s large carnivores: lion, wild dog, leopard, cheetah and hyena.

Wild In Africa is incredibly proud to now support the Vatuvara Foundation whose aim is to protect and revive ocean conservation in Fiji’s northern Lau group through the empowerment of local communities as stewards of their natural resources!

HABITAT SAVED!
Imagine a herd of elephants wading across the river in the African midday sun. For the first time in decades they realize they can access the river and the lush habitat on the opposite side. The fence that had stopped them before is now gone. One by one they cross the river to investigate this land that the elders remember calling home.
